Meet Rabie Ahmed
Founder & Family Lawyer
Born and raised in Calgary, Rabie Ahmed showed a passion for law from a young age. With a natural affinity for debate, it was always his dream to become a lawyer. He was accepted into the University of Liverpool’s Bachelor of Law Program and graduated with honours in August 2015.
After articling in Edmonton in family and criminal law and being called to the Bar in June 2019, Rabie returned to Calgary and founded Esquire Law. He has acted for clients in complex matters including parenting and custody, child support, spousal support, and matrimonial property — focused on getting the best results in the fastest, most cost-effective way.
Rabie currently volunteers with Calgary Legal Guidance and hosts lectures at Mount Royal University to inspire the next generation of lawyers. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys the outdoors and martial arts training.
Meet Malik Hattum
Family & Civil Litigation Lawyer
Malik Hattum is a highly accomplished lawyer with a passion for family law and civil litigation. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta in 2015 before pursuing his LLB from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, then completing the NCA process through the University of Alberta’s pathway program.
Called to the Alberta Bar in 2021, Malik has since practised primarily in family law. He’s known for a friendly approach that builds lasting rapport with clients and prioritizes alternative dispute resolution — but he is a formidable opponent in the courtroom and unafraid of taking cases to trial when necessary.
Outside of work, Malik is a lover of the outdoors, enjoys yoga, and is an avid foodie always exploring new culinary experiences.
